Employees at the University of Portland are forming an affinity group for LGBTQIA+ staff, faculty, adjuncts, and administrators. All who self-identify as part of this community are invited to join this informal group by contacting Ian Robins, residence life. Ian has been on staff here since 2017 and serves as the associate director for student care. Ian will collect names and emails from interested employees so a listserv can be created, and the group can begin to gather (virtually) to plan and organize events, to support one another, to provide trainings and resources, and to network. Overall, the purpose of this group is to create a supportive community for LGBTQIA+ folks here at UP.
