University of Notre Dame philosophy professor John O’Callaghan will present “The Image of God: Malick’s Tree of Life and Augustine” on Saturday, March 22, at 3 p.m., in Buckley Center Auditorium. His lecture is free and open to all.
O’Callaghan is director of Notre Dame’s Jacques Maritain Center, and a permanent member of the Pontifical Council on Thomas Aquinas. He will present on the relationship between Terrence Malick’s film The Tree of Life and the Confessions of St. Augustine. The presentation will follow a screening of the film.
