Join musician, scholar, and storyteller Dr. Julian Saporiti to experience the Pacific Northwest’s landscapes through an artistic lens that weaves together music, history, and ecology. Drawing on his work as musician-in-residence at Portland’s Hoyt Arboretum, Saporiti uses field recordings, images, and song to explore how the natural world sustains our spiritual and intellectual lives, offering a vision of sustainability that unites ecology with imagination. Known for his acclaimed No-No Boy Project—praised by NPR as “one of the most insurgent pieces of music you’ll ever hear”—Saporiti bridges scholarship and performance, creating a space where environmental awareness and storytelling converge in sound. Free and open to all.
Show at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 pm for a light dessert reception | Doyle Auditorium, (Dundon-Berchtold 004)
