The athletics department posted a fall semester GPA of 3.296 with 41 percent (117) of student-athletes being named to the Dean’s List. More than 76 percent of student-athletes now have a cumulative GPA better than 3.0. A total of 18 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 in the fall. Since athletics started recording department data in the fall of 2011, this year marked the highest department GPA and most student-athletes recognized on the Dean’s List in a single semester. Baseball had a 3.35 team GPA and men’s tennis posted a 3.57 team GPA, both program bests.
