All staff and faculty are invited to attend one (or both) of this spring’s Core Samples Lunches, as guests of the Garaventa Center and Core Program. These have proven a terrific way for all of us to build our knowledge of what happens in UP’s Core Curriculum.
- Tuesday, February 25, 11:30-12:30: Dr. Kali Abel from Environmental Studies will offer a sample of the ‘Big Ideas’ exploration-level course: Core 312X: Imaging Our Futures: Climate Change, Human Rights, and Our Human Family. The UP Core offers one large signature course each semester to highlight mission-related themes such as the pursuit of a sustainable, peaceful, and just future.
- Wednesday, March 19, 11:30-12:30: Dr. David Turnbloom from the Department of Theology will provide a sample of his foundation-level course THE105: Engaging Ultimate Questions. The course engages religion, faith, and ethics and considers their roles in the human search for meaning.
Core Samples Lunches are hosted in the Teske Room in Bauccio Commons.
Register for one (or both!) of the lunches below.
