The Clark Library is excited to feature artwork by Soleia Yemaya Quinn in the Dr. James T. Covert Gallery on the main floor of the library. Join us from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, for a reception with the artist, a junior at UP. The show, Portraits of Everywoman, is animated by the idea of womanhood—what it means to be a girl, a woman, a mother, a daughter, a lover, and a friend. Inspired by the people in her life, Soleia uses motifs of nature, classical art, and symmetry to create surreal pieces reflecting the themes of feminism, family, spirituality, and death. The exhibit will run through the end of the semester. For more information, contact libraryevents@up.edu.
