All members of the UP community are invited to join for cupcakes and a conversation with Beth Burns, co-founder of Portland’s p:ear organization, to celebrate the birthday of the co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, Dorothy Day, on Monday, November 8, at 7:15 p.m. Through social activism and Catholic social teachings, Day worked for social justice for the poor, forsaken, hungry, and houseless. P:ear continues this work to support Portland youth who are moving through and beyond homelessness. This will be a hybrid event.
