During the month of November he was interviewed on Marketplace Radio LA on airline pricing, NPR on the airline situation, and KXL Radio on the WTO decision on Boeing’s tax policies and its implications on the competition between Boeing and AirBus.

A research group made up of Edward Valente and Eugene Urnezius, chemistry, and Celia M. Gendron-Herndon (BS in Chemistry, 2013), Amanda N. Graveson (BS in Biology/Minor in Chemistry, 2015), Alexander N. Erickson (BS in Chemistry, 2015), Carolyn N. Virca (BS in Chemistry, 2013), and Michael A. Paton (BS in Chemistry, 2013) have had a research paper, “Discrete bimetallic Co(II) phosphinate complexes supported by 2,6-dimesitylphenylphosphinate ligand,” published in Polyhedron, 2017, Volume 123, p. 12-22, in the online edition of the journal; the printed edition will appear in February 2017. The paper is based on a research project carried out in 2011-2014. Three of the student authors continued their studies in graduate schools–Celia already got her masters in chemistry from University of Toronto, Carolyn is a third-year Ph.D. student at Portland State University, and Alexander is a second-year Ph.D. student at University of Notre Dame.
