The public safety and information services departments will conduct a campus-wide test of the UPAlert system on Friday April 5, between 12 noon and 1 p.m. After the alert is issued, all UP community members should receive a voicemail, text message, and two e-mail messages, one to UP accounts and the other to personal accounts (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.). UPAlert is an automated communication system meant to notify all students, faculty, and staff in the event of a campus emergency. Those who wish to participate in UPAlert or need to update contact information can find out more at http://www.up.edu/upalert. For more information contact public safety at 7161 or gregg@up.edu.
