At the University of Portland, 47% of our first-year students this fall identify as first-generation college students—the highest percentage ever! To better support these students, we’re updating our network of UP faculty and staff who either identify as first-generation themselves or those who identify as allies by staying informed and involved in FGEN initiatives.
