The University of Portland has been named to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service, one of eight Oregon colleges that made the Honor Roll list. This marks the sixth time the University of Portland has made the Honor Roll since its inception in 2006.
The Honor Roll annually recognizes institutions of higher education for their commitment to and achievement in community service. Honorees are chosen based on scope and innovation of service projects, percentage of student participation in service activities, incentives for service, and the extent to which the school offers academic service-learning courses.
