Kevin Jones, social work, was a Research Fellow at The Summer Institute on Youth Mentoring, an intensive week-long seminar presenting the latest developments in theory and research on youth mentoring, at Portland State University July 20-24, 2015. Building on his work as a Dundon-Berchtold fellow in Applied Ethics at UP, Kevin led two 2.5 hour workshops on a new multidisciplinary ethical decision-making framework for the field of youth mentoring.
Matthew Warshawsky, international languages and cultures, served as program chair at the 25th annual conference of the Society for Crypto-Judaic Studies, held July 19-21 in Miami. He also presented “From Secretly Jewish Catholicism to Anti-Catholic Judaism: The Polemical Writing of Iberian Converso Isaac Orobio de Castro.”
