Efforts to internationalize UP’s curriculum and offer global experiences to students and faculty are well underway. Click on the titles below to link to four brief videos (3-12 minutes each) that help viewers understand 1) what the term “comprehensive internationalization” means (Hint: watch the video titled “CISGO Overview” first); 2) why it matters; and 3) what resources are available to UP faculty who want to give it a whirl. The videos are not meant to be exhaustive, but to inspire ongoing conversations among ourselves. If an idea intrigues you, invite the campus colleague onscreen to have coffee or lunch and explore the idea or strategy further!
Mark Meckler, Associate Professor of Strategy and Leadership in the Pamplin School of Business, created a 3-minute slide show that provides an overview of the structure and possibilities of faculty-created Teaching Circles. There is no single method for doing Teaching Circles “correctly,” but this slideshow gives you insights into the qualities of effective Teaching Circles. Clicking on this link will take you to a Powerpoint file that you can watch by clicking on the Slideshow view Teaching Circles ppt. Alternatively, clicking on this link will take you to a movie file that has the same slides Teaching Circles movie.
