Communication Studies T-Shirt Design Contest! Deadline is Midnight on Friday February 6, 2015!
A Message from Lambda Pi Eta:
Are you creative? Do you enjoy the thrill of design? Do most t-shirts seem lame or boring to you?
If you said yes to any of those questions—or if you just want to create a cool t-shirt—then we have an opportunity for you. The University of Portland’s Lambda Pi Eta club is holding a t-shirt design contest, open for you to enter and have the chance to win!
What is the purpose of these t-shirts? Who will wear them and where will they be worn?
The winning design will become the new, official shirt for U.P.’s Department of Communication Studies. However, because the shirts will undoubtedly be so desirable, they will be worn by anyone and everyone. If you would like to preorder a shirt, please contact Dr. Alexa Dare (dare@up.edu).
What can I win?
If chosen as the winner, you will receive two things: first, an infinite amount of campus-wide fame and glory and second, a $50 dollar Barnes and Noble gift certificate.
When is the deadline?
All designs must be submitted by midnight, on the night of Friday, February 6, 2015, so get started soon!
How do I submit my t-shirt design?
Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator (.eps, .ai), Adobe Photoshop (.psd) or an equivalent design program. (These programs aren’t too complicated, so don’t be intimidated.) Once the design has been created, email it to lpe@up.edu and the winning design will be chosen by popular vote soon thereafter.
What should I include in my design?
There is a lot of creative freedom available to you. However, for a shirt to be considered, it must include the following: the words “Communication Studies” in some capacity, a maximum of three colors of text or artwork, and no offensive language, imagery, or themes. There are a few other reasonable specifications.
For further details, see the document here LPE_OfficialContestRules_2015_final
If you just can’t settle on one design, you’re welcome to submit up to three designs per person…
Happy designing!
