Filmmaking has always been a highly technical endeavor. Sophisticated cameras, complicated lighting set ups, editing software, and high powered audio recording devices are just some of the aspects that have always made film one of the more tech heavy arts. So too is the process of putting on a film festival. From registration to promotion, from the judging process to the event itself, many tech tools are at work: WordPress, MediaSpace, OneDrive, Instagram, and more. In addition, there is a lot of media production involved including graphic design, video montages, and mashups which utilize high end video editing and graphic design software.
