Pamplin School of Business and WiBD
The Pamplin School of Business was thrilled to begin its partnership with the Pacific Northwest chapter of Women in Big Data (WiBD). This relationship has allowed students to connect directly with professionals working in the tech space and receive hands-on experience. This past year, the business school participated in the launch of Data Science Varsity.
About Data Science Varsity
This program was specifically designed to advance technology skill development and technical leadership through data science contest participation for students at University of Portland or Oregon State.

“This impact was fueled by 50+ passionate volunteers from tech giants and startups, who poured 1000+ hours into coordination, training, and mentorship to empower 28 students with future-proof skills.
