What does your nonprofit do? (Mission)
Cross Catholic Outreach is a Catholic ministry dedicated to serving the poorest of the poor through the compassion of Christ.
We work hand in hand with bishops, priests, sisters, and lay missionaries in more than 30 countries to meet both material and spiritual needs—offering food, clean water, safe shelter, medical care, education, and emergency relief, all while sharing the hope of the Gospel.
Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to bring lasting transformation to families and communities, for the glory of Jesus Christ.
What are some of your current initiatives or recent positive impacts?
This year alone, God has allowed us to support 269 impactful projects across 32 countries, delivering more than $397.5 million in aid where it is most needed. We are deeply committed to stewardship and accountability, with over 94 percent of every dollar directly supporting program services.
From building homes in rural Guatemala, to delivering clean water in the Dominican Republic, to providing educational opportunities for children in Ethiopia, our ministry partners are living out the Gospel and bringing new life to communities in desperate need.
These works of mercy are a testament to what can be achieved when we unite in faith and compassion.
How can the UP business community support you?
There are so many meaningful ways for the UP business community to come alongside us in this mission of mercy. We invite you to help engage your local parishes, schools, and ministries in faith-in-action opportunities that bring hope to our brothers and sisters around the world.
You can organize a food packing event to help feed hungry families, host one of our inspiring mission priests to share the heart of our work, or participate in our seasonal outreach campaigns like Box of Joy, Lent, or Advent.
These initiatives invite students, faculty, and parishioners to respond to Christ’s call to love and serve the poor, becoming the Gospel in action. Together, we can form a powerful witness of faith that brings dignity, healing, and the love of Christ to those who need it most.
