UP Operations Management Association (OMA) held it’s 3rd annual “Helping Hands” event on April 16, 2019. Helping Hands is program offered by corporate team building organization Odyssey Teams, Inc. OMA first began participating in this initiative in 2017, while assisting club advisor Professor Gary Mitchell’s Lake Oswego based robotics team, Team Axis #7187. At the time, OMA frequently partnered and mentored Team Axis. Although Team Axis has since disbanded, OMA and Professor Mitchell continued the initiative and have sinced invited alumi to attend. Professor Mitchell and UP OMA were joined by a large number of students and alumni, as well the OTM faculty and Pamplin School of Business Dean Robin Anderson. The following day, UP OMA took the Helping Hands event to Daimler Trucks North America and completed additional hands with the DTNA employees. Professor Mitchell and OMA look forward to continuing this annual initiative.
