On April 5th through April 8th, graduate students Kevin Mowrey, Noah Schutte, and Ragnar Hartmann participated in the Annual MIT Operations Simulation Case Competition. The competition was a 72 hour factory simulation, with every 12 minutes real time signifying a full simulated day. The team worked out of the Franz Hall Bloomberg Room, rotating two hour shifts to monitor their simulated factory. “Professor Mitchell introduced us the competition and encouraged us to participate. We used a lot of the skills he’s taught us in his courses. We had so much content from his courses to work with,” said Noah Schutte. The team placed 6th out of 165 teams from 57 universities!
