Company interned with: PwC (formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers)
Role and responsibilities: Core Assurance Intern, Assisted with FYE and Q2 10k audit work for two large public companies.
Describe your “first day of work “ outfit: Suit, Tie, brown oxfords, and my PwC Thinkpad
What were you most nervous about before starting your internship? The caliber of people that I would be working with at the company (i.e., my intern class).
What did you like/enjoy most about your internship experience? Lots of responsibility and growth opportunities. The free food and beverages at intern “events” and “socials” were pretty great too!
What did you take away from your internship? Most public accounts like to work hard and play hard.
Were you a brown-paper bagger or take-out supporter? The firm provided the majority of lunches, but I was responsible for the take-out order on few occasions. Who knew that getting lunch could be so intense?
Average commute to work? To the office: public transit (10 minutes). To the client: carpooling (1-2 hours).
Advice to new interns: Show up. Ask questions. Check your work.
