His expertise lies within the areas of knowledge-based product innovation, the creative industries, product design and corporate image and reputation. Ian D. Parkman is an assistant professor of marketing at University of Portland. Before joining UP he held the same position at Loyola University Maryland. He has published and presented his work with the American Marketing Association, INFORMS Marketing Science, Academy of Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Culture and Communications, among others. He completed his Ph.D. in marketing strategy at the University of Oregon, holds a master’s degree in marketing from the University of New Mexico , as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
