Testimonials
The Oregon Entrepreneurship Network awards event was an incredible opportunity to meet entrepreneurs and hear their stories. My biggest takeaway was meeting Elizabeth Sheils, one of the co-founders of Rock, Paper, Coin, who won one of the OEN Company Awards. I connected with her through LinkedIn and am setting up a meeting with her to discuss my venture.” ~Willow Pfahl, E-Scholar Student
“I thoroughly enjoyed attending the OEN awards event as it provided an excellent opportunity to connect with industry professionals, especially startup founders who might otherwise be difficult to meet in other settings.” ~Ying Zhen, E-Scholar Student
“I found the OEN Awards a great opportunity to hear more about entrepreneurship ventures and meet with fellow entrepreneurs and strong supporters of the industry. We often hear about small businesses, but don’t get to meet the founders. I was impressed by the story of the Entrepreneurial Achievement Awardee, Seth Tibbott, the founder of the Tofurky Company because he started his business in 1980 with only $2500 savings. In 1995, Seth introduced the Tofurky, which soon became the most well-known meat alternative brand in the US. The biggest lesson I learned is to follow your passions and stick it out because entrepreneurship takes some time to grow big.” ~Cherisse Wong, E-Scholar Student
“The 2024 Oregon Entrepreneurship Awards was a night to remember, especially because I have never attended an event quite like it. Throughout my business endeavors, I’d say that I am the furthest thing from an entrepreneur. I enjoy analyzing financial statements, discussing strategy with colleagues in the non-profit sector, and reading Bloomberg, however I never once in my life considered going into business for myself; that was until the 2024 OEN Awards.” ~ RaShawn Lemery-Spencer, MBA Student
