As your student continues to complete incoming student requirements, they may have read that proof of the measles vaccination is required. The University of Portland requires all active students, both undergraduate and graduate, to show proof of the measles vaccination. Typically, there are two MMR immunizations that one receives as a child. The first MMR immunization must be after the 1st birthday and the second immunization must be at least 28 days following the first dose administration. Along with entering the dates of the MMR immunization, it is required to show proof of immunization.

Acceptable forms of proof would be:

• An official immunization document
• Proof of a medical or non-medical exemption
• Proof of immunity with a MMR titer

The requirements for new students discuss logging into the Health Center Online Portal at up.medicatconnect.com to upload immunization records. However, please note that this patient portal is currently being remodeled as we are merging with a new Electronic Health Record System. If your student has immunizations they need to upload, it is recommended that they wait until the beginning of August to upload any health documentation as our new system will be fully active at that time.
