New applicants are encouraged to complete the Oregon Tribal Student Grant application and 2023-24 FAFSA or ORSAA at the earliest point possible. Renewal applicants (those who received the grant in 2022-23) must log into their OSAC Student Portal account and re-apply for 2023-24 Oregon Tribal Student Grant. Program funding for 2023-2025 will be determined by the Oregon legislature and we encourage all qualifying enrolled members of the 9 federally recognized Oregon Tribes to apply as soon as possible to be considered for the 2023-2024 academic year.

More about PacificSource and Health Insurance Waivers
The University of Portland requires all undergraduate students taking 12 or more credit hours to carry medical insurance comparable to that offered under the school’s student health insurance plan.
All UP students are automatically enrolled in the student health insurance plan through PacificSource Health Plan. If your student already has health insurance coverage, they should complete and submit a Health Insurance Waiver or they will be responsible for paying the $1,676.50 premium for the student health insurance plan through PacificSource. This waiver needs to be completed each semester.
Details about health insurance and the Health Insurance Waiver can be found on this page; please note that the PacificSource waiver form should be updated and available by July 16 for students to complete and submit.
Students do not need to be enrolled in the student health insurance plan through PacificSource to be seen at the Student Health Center.
For more details on insurance and billing, visit the Billing & Insurance section on the Student Accounts FAQ page.
