Value of Library Materials – Faculty

Databases and electronic journals continue to be the faculty’s most important collection materials. Compared to the 2011 survey results, streaming video has gained ground (59.3% rated it valuable in 2016, compared to 46.6% in 2011), as have electronic books (57.0% 2016; 45.5% 2011). Print books lost value (68.2% in 2016, compared to 80.2% in 2011) but are still more highly rated than eBooks.
