Among the chaos of the commons at lunch time, chalking sidewalks on sunny days, or munching on goldfish in the KDUP studio, a group of students are present. Who are these extraordinary people you ask? They’re KDUP street team!
Street team is the college radio volunteer crew, who love music, food, live shows, and always seem to know about the coolest jams before everyone else. This outstanding group of people help the station in many ways, some being: set up and take down of events, promotion of station and shows, reviewing concerts, albums, and interviewing bands, organizing CDs for the station, and planning KDUP events for DJs, staff, and volunteers alike. Street Team meets every Thursday at 7:30 PM in the KDUP station, and is always welcome to new-comers; with more volunteers comes more fantastic things that KDUP can do for the community here at UP. Bridging the gap between the station and the student body allows us the opportunity to do as much as possible in the interest of our listeners.
