A celebration the music of esteemed jazz bassist, composer, and bandleader Charles Mingus. A tremendously important figure in the history of jazz, he has written some of the most interesting and iconic jazz standards around. His legacy is upheld by groups like the Mingus Dynasty Band, who very recently performed in Portland, and by musicians everywhere who continue to play his music.
