There’s a rich history of resistance recorded through political and protest music, and I’m here to introduce you to some of it. The term “face the music” usually means to accept unpleasant consequences, but in our case it means to look back at this history of resistance, solidarity, hope, and joy that political music offers us. It helps me to keep at it when things feel bleak, and I hope it does the same for you.
