We’re all busy. After finishing homework, getting out of work, looking ahead to that essay or test for next week, and making sure to always stay in contact with your mom, there’s not a lot of free time to try and figure out the concerts you want to go to this semester. But here at KDUP, we don’t want you to miss out on any of the shows you want to see most. KDUP Street Team created a list of concerts for a plethora of genres to make out your musical year. WHY: Guaranteed to get your head bobbing, and the powerful lyrics will resonate with you all night.

 

 

WHO: The Growlers
WHAT: Psych rock/Surf rock
WHERE: 3/23 Roseland Theater
WHY: The sound of this duo has been described as Beach Goth, and even headlined their own festival back in October. In the midst of their tour, they are a must see.

WHY: Support some local music, and the release of their newest album! Last time they were in Portland they rocked it, of course they’re going to do it again.

WHERE: 4/22 Bunk Bar
WHY: Coral rock with summery vibes that will warm you up in the middle of winter. The lead singer also has a voice of an angel. This show is 21+.

WHAT: Acoustic
WHERE: 4/28 Crystal Ballroom
WHY: Portland trio capable of rocking the house. Their beautiful voices mesh so well together and are sure to give you the feels.

 

 

WHO: Kehlani
WHAT: R&B
WHERE: 5/2 Crystal Ballroom
WHY: She’s a total goddess and her new album is quite lengthy, meaning you’ll get your money’s worth. One of her openers, Jahkoy, also came out with a new EP that is beautiful.
