UP tech tip written on a chalkboard with a lightbulb drawn in chalkToday’s UP tech tip is a 3-in-1 focusing on the Moodle gradebook. Moodle is a great resource for tracking student work and providing assessment and feedback – but the gradebook can also be a confusing and frustrating tool to work in at first. I’ve identified 3 easy tips to keep in mind when entering grades that can help prevent some of the most common problems I see faculty run into.

Tech Tips for the Moodle Grader Report

  1. Keep editing turned off when entering grades
  2. Use the single view to get a clear view or individual grade items
  3. Be aware of overriding assignment or quiz scores in the gradebook!

The video below goes over each item in more detail. As always, for questions or to request a training session, please feel free to contact me at kahn@up.edu
