Bill McKibben questions whether Joplin tornadoes in Missouri of April 2011 are related to the tornado outbreak three weeks before it in Tuscaloosa, Alabama or the enormous outbreak three weeks before that, which together comprised of the most active April for tornadoes in US history. He critiques our tendency not to connect seemingly related events, and the mantra that no single weather event can ever be directly related to climate change.
