[jbox]This video discusses Lynn White’s 1967 watershed article, “Historical Roots of Our Ecological Crisis,” and the idea that nature is not sacred and disposable, which he calls ‘Selfish Anthropomorphism.’ The video debunks the idea that Christianity is at odds with environmentalism, and discusses the environment in terms of creation. The lecture also discusses Stuart Pimm, a conservation professor at Duke, who says that Christians have an obligation to care for the planet because it was made by God and does not actually belong to us.[/jbox]
