Career Expo and Grad School Fair Right On Campus

Attention all English majors: the First Avenue Career Expo and Graduate School Fair is next Friday, April 5th in the Chiles Center.  The event is from 10:00am-3:00pm and includes a guest speaker discussing tips and strategies on how to use social media in your job search (10:00am-11:00am), a chance to meet recruiters and learn about summer jobs, internships, full-time jobs, and graduate school (11:00am-3:00pm), and a Link-In Live Networking talk in which students will have the opportunity to meet and connect with industry professionals and learn tips on how to be a successful liberal arts grad.

In order to attend this event, all you have to due is register online at http://www.olapcfirstavenue.org/ ($10 fee applies) and attend a “How to Work a Job Fair workshop in Career Services (Tuesday-Thursday next week at both 1:00 and 4:00pm).  You can also register the day of the event.  If you register and attend you will also receive your $10 back in cash.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the ropes of the post-grad world, as well as connect with possible future employers.  This event is aimed directly at students graduating with a liberal arts degree, so be sure to bring your A-game to the First Avenue Career Expo and Graduate School Fair next Friday, April 5th in the Chiles Center.
