Fall 2023 open meeting of the Disability Affinity Group

Staff, faculty, and students all invited! This get-together will include group members, allies, and people who are interested in the group. No need to share which category you belong to! Along with special alumni and ASUP guests, we will talk about upcoming events and possibilities, and open the floor for conversation for support, voicing needs, ways to collaborate, and more. Thank you for helping build community, awareness, and pride around disability at UP!

Building Disability Inclusion & Community at UP

The Disability Affinity Group is excited to be part of this year’s Diversity Dialogues! Join group members and disability allies for a conversation about what we can do to boost inclusion and community for people experiencing disabilities at UP. Can’t make it for the whole hour? Feel free to drop by as you’re able. Also joining us: special guest Scott Hatley, 2001 UP alum! He is now Executive Director of Incight, a Portland nonprofit helping people with disabilities reach their unlimited potential.

December 3 is the International Day of People with Disabilities! Join the Clark Library in celebrating disability culture, inclusion, and pride. Check out media by and about local and global activists and people living with visible and invisible disabilities. You can find print books and media on display in the library from December 5-23.
