Everyone has their favorite places around the UP campus. Student office assistants Gaby and Grace went on the ultimate bench tour, and we found some of our favorite benches around campus.
You wouldn’t immediately suspect that there would be a rustic, wooden bench in Swindells Hall, where the science labs are located, but when you walk in you have this great bench with a view of some great fossils hanging from the ceiling.
Another lovely bench with a view of the city. You can find this spot in the grassy area behind Swindells.
This classic bench is located near the commons. A good place to sit after dinner.
Grace’s #1 bench on campus, this bench is located behind Swindells on the bluff. A lovely place to eat lunch.
The bench, with a nice cover, is located behind Fields and Schoenfeldt halls.
Some regal stone benches located next to the SLUG or Student Led Union Garden a few blocks from campus. Enjoy the plants and a view of the St. John’s bridge!
