Did you know the Career Center hosts events, info sessions and career-related opportunities both on and off campus? However, we understand that finding these and other events happening on campus can sometimes be difficult, especially if you’re living off campus. Now, through Handshake, all of the Career Center workshops and company info sessions or recruitment events can be found in one convenient place! Simply log in to your Handshake account using your University of Portland login info (every UP student already has an account!) and look for events on the top of your screen.
After clicking “events”, a list of all events both on and off campus that UP is hosting or affiliated with will pop up. After selecting an event, all the information including who’s hosting, where it will be held, and a link that will bring you to the registration site will be available. To register or RSVP for an event, click the “Join Event” button at the top right area of your screen. If the event requires you to register, the button will bring you to the event’s registration site. If you’re interested, but not ready to commit, you can favorite the event to keep up to date and join at another time.
