A number of alumni have contacted Career Services recently to ask about resources for negotiating and evaluating job offers, including salary and benefits. We always encourage you to evaluate offers based on total compensation, which may include salary, benefits, time off, educational reimbursement, bonuses, and other perks. One example of an often overlooked negotiation strategy is to consider asking for an accelerated review period (3 months instead of 6 months, 6 months instead of a year) if salary isn’t negotiable.
