SWE Job Fair

SWE STEM Virtual Career Fair: Feb. 26

February 17, 2021

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) STEM Virtual Career Fair will be held on Handshake from 1 – 4 p.m. on Friday, February 26. The career fair is open to all students, though employers are specifically interested in connecting with the following STEM majors: biology, bio-chemistry, biomedical engineering (graduate level), chemistry, civil engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, environmental science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics, and operations & technology management.

SWE STEM Career Fair: Feb. 21

The SWE STEM Career Fair is on Friday, February 21, from 1:30-4:30 p.m., in the Bauccio Commons. This career fair focuses primarily on mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and biomedical engineering students, as well as those majoring in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, pre-health professions, mathematics, physics, environmental science, and operations & technology management.

Students can connect with recruiters and UP alumni from over 50 companies. To help students prepare, the Career Center is hosting several How to Work a Job Fair workshops. For more information on workshop dates and times, visit the Calendar of Events.

Career Center Sponsoring Job Fairs, Feb. 24 & March 3

The Career Center is sponsoring the following job fairs:

  • Friday, February 24, 1-4 p.m., Shiley Hall – SWE Engineering & Computer Science Career Fair
  • Friday, March 3, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., UP Spring Grad School & Job Fair including Link In Live from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.; also Monday, March 6, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Bauccio Commons

Prior to the career fairs the Career Center will offer “How to Work a Job Fair” workshops and Resume Review Drop-In Hours. See a detailed list here.

SWE Engineering & Computer Science Career Fair, Feb. 26

engineering grantThe SWE Engineering & Computer Science Career Fair is on Friday, February 26, from 1- 4 p.m., in the Shiley School of Engineering. All students and alumni are invited to attend to talk to recruiters about summer jobs, internships, and full-time career opportunities. To see a list of currently registered companies, visit this link. Check back regularly as more companies will be registering.

To help students prepare, the Career Center is hosting Extended Express Advising hours for resume review and job fair preparation workshops, all in the Career Center (Orrico Hall, lower level):

  • How to Work a Job Fair Workshops: Monday, February 22, 4 p.m.; Tuesday, February 23, 1 p.m. & 4 p.m.; Wednesday, February 24, 1:30 p.m. & 4 p.m.; Thursday, February 25, 1 p.m.
