Nicaragua Silent Auction

Donations Needed for Nicaragua Silent Auction, Dec. 4-8, 2017

November 24, 2017

Donations from faculty and staff have been the backbone of the success of the annual silent auction fundraiser for the Moreau Center’s Nicaragua Immersion service program. All faculty, staff, students, and UP friends are welcome to participate in the silent auction, either as a donor of items or a bidder. This year’s auction will take place from Monday, December 4 to Friday, December 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Bauccio Commons main entrance hallway.

Single items, gift baskets, tickets to events, signed books, weekends at vacation homes or timeshares, gift certificates to local restaurants, and UP merchandise are just some of the items that have been popular at the auction in the past. Donations can be brought to the Moreau Center any time during the workday from now through Wednesday, November 29.

Nicaragua Immersion Silent Auction, Dec. 1-5

December 1, 2014

nicaragua2The Nicaragua Immersion Silent Auction and Gift Basket Raffle will take place from Monday, December 1 through Friday, December 5, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Bauccio Commons hallway. Proceeds of the Silent Auction & Gift Basket Drawing benefit UP students who will be going on the Nicaragua Immersion in May 2015. The students are responsible for fundraising for this valuable learning experience, and the Silent Auction is one of their largest fundraisers. Last year many departments on campus generously and imaginatively created fabulous gift baskets to be included in the silent auction. Individuals (crafters or shoppers) are encouraged to donate an item to be included in the gift basket to be raffled off to one lucky winner.

This is a great fundraiser for our entire community. We appreciate your participation. Please call or e-mail Theresa McCreary, campus ministry, at 7131 or mccreary@up.edu if you have any questions.
