Outdoor Pursuits Program: Hey, We’re Open Over Here!

The Outdoor Pursuits Program currently remains open for outdoor equipment rentals, bike rentals, and bike repairs. Outdoor pursuits has equipment for every adventure. From bikes to tents, sleeping bags to ice axes, rent the gear you need to opt outside without breaking the bank. Current hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Friday noon to 6 p.m. For up to date hours of operation check the hours page using this link.

Follow @upoutdoorpursuits on Instagram to stay up to date on what is going on at OPP and to stay informed on equipment rental specials. To access Outdoor Pursuits head to the back of the Beauchamp Center. You’ll see a sign there directing you to call our office number at 503-943-8748. We can complete no-contact  equipment rentals and curbside. Visit our website using this link for the full list of available equipment to rent.

Outdoor Pursuits Equipment Rentals, Bike Repairs Resume July 1

June 26, 2020

The Outdoor Pursuits Program will be resuming equipment rental and bike repair services on July 1, according to Matt Libby, recreational services. Hours will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All equipment, (excluding climbing equipment) such as tents, sleeping bags, bikes, stoves, kayaks, etc., is available for rent. While the Beauchamp Center remains closed, the pickup/drop off location is behind Beauchamp in the parking lot.Cash not accepted, card payments only. Reservations and pre-payment are available. Call x8748 MWF 10 a.m.-3 p.m. or email Libby at libby@up.edu.

Climbing Wall Friends & Family Event, Nov. 23

Beauchamp Center Climbing WallAll UP employees are welcome to bring family and friends to the Beauchamp Center climbing wall for a few hours of climbing and fun on Saturday, November 23, 1-3 p.m. Other activities include making rugs and doormats with retired climbing ropes and painting/designing coffee mugs.

The ratio of adults to minors is 1:2 and an adult/guardian must be present at all times while minors are climbing. There is no age or weight requirement; however, a climber must be big enough to fit into either adult or child specific harnesses. A waiver must be signed before climbing can occur.
