Faculty, staff and students who are interested in learning more about CISGO’s diversity, inclusion, and internationalization seed grants are invited to attend their session during International Education Week. The session takes place on Tuesday, November 19, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the Terrace Room. A group of 2019-2020 grant recipients will share their projects and discuss the ways in which their funding can (or did, or will) infuse a greater sense of internationalization, diversity and inclusion into the University community. Refreshments will be served.
All are invited to attend the University of Portland’s International Night on Friday, February 26, from 5-8 p.m., in the Bauccio Commons. Enjoy an evening of international sights, sounds, tastes, and smells while traveling around the world with the diverse music and dance of local and regional performers. Professional performances from Filipina singer-songwriter Haley Heynderickx will begin at 6:15 p.m., and Mexican Folkloric music from Edna Vazquez and her band will begin at 7 p.m. International students will also be sharing their culture at the Showcase of Nations.
Enjoy live performances and the company of friends while savoring international dishes from Bon Appetit, priced a la carte. Admission to the show is free. Families are encouraged to attend. Performer and event updates will continue to be posted at www.up.edu/iew.
This event is hosted as part of Diversity Dialogues Week and is sponsored by the International Club, the Office of International Student Services, and ASUP.
