“Promotion to Professor: A Woman’s Journey,” Nov. 13

November 13, 2015

University of Portland, upThe gender and women’s studies program and Committee on Rank and Tenure will present a woman-to-woman mentoring seminar, “Promotion to Professor: A Woman’s Journey,” on Friday, November 13, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., in Buckley Center Auditorium. The event is free and open to all; bring a sack lunch for this informal, conversational event. In this demystifying round-table discussion, ten women professors representing all five colleges on campus will share personal anecdotes and wisdom about navigating from assistant to associate to professor, in the hopes of creating transparency and encouragement for women faculty at differing stages in their careers.
