2015 Pilot Kids Day Camp

pilotkids2015 copyThe Pilot Kids Day Camp program provides a safe and supportive environment in which your child will work with university students and graduates playing recreational games and sports, creating arts and crafts projects, and much more. Kids will love Pilots Kids camp, which feels like an all-day recess. Counselors and instructors are University of Portland students and alumni who love working with children. They create a welcoming atmosphere and work hard so the kids can have a blast. Open to children entering grades 1-6 in Fall 2015. Camp dates are:

  • Session 1: June 15-19
  • Session 2: June 22-26 (FULL)
  • Session 3: July 6-10
  • Session 4: July 13-17

Cost per session are $115 for children of UP faculty, staff, students, and alumni if registered by May 23, and $130 after that date. General public fee is $130 if registered by May 22, and $145 after that date. Forms and information are available at http://tinyurl.com/3trengm.

  • Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 20-21: Closed
  • Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 22-23: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Time to Sign Up For Pilot Kids Camps

groupjump1.jpgIt’s time to sign up your kids for this summer’s Pilot Kids Camp, according to Brian Dezzani, recreational services. Pilot Kids Camp is open to children who will be entering grades 1-6 in fall 2014. The program provides a safe and supportive environment where your child can work with University students and graduates playing recreational games and sports, creating arts and crafts projects, swimming, and much more. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis upon receipt of payment. Camp dates will be:

  • Session 1: June 16-20
  • Session 2: June 23-27
  • Session 3: July 7-11
  • Session 4: August 4-8.

Camp times are 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday; and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday. Visit the recreational services website for more information and registration forms at http://www.up.edu/recservices.

Fitness Classes for Spring 2014

hoops copyRecreational services fitness classes will start the first day of the spring semester, with several offered each weekday over the course of the semester. Classes are open to all faculty, staff, and students and are free of charge. The schedule is available at http://tinyurl.com/l7k9lzk. Classes will include tap dance, Zumba, yoga, spin, total body cardio, kickboxing, and more. Take a break from work and you’ll get fit and feel revitalized! Time For A Workout?

Here’s a quick test, courtesy of Brian Dezzani, recreational services: Do you remember your locker combination? If not, you should probably visit Howard Hall for a workout. Summer hours have been expanded from the initial announcement and Howard Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, at least through June 30. Pilot Kids Day Camps

Pilot Kids Camp has begun taking registrations for this summer. There are three sessions this year on June 17-21, June 24-28, Aug 5-9. Children entering grades 1-6 are eligible and University of Portland staff get a reduced rate. Camp is limited to 50 children each session. Counselors are University of Portland students.
