Palanca, Please

September 6, 2013

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThirty-six students will be attending the September Encounter with Christ Retreat along with 22 student leaders from September 27-29. All faculty and staff are asked if they would consider writing a note (palanca) to students they know who will be attending. Writing palanca is an opportunity to encourage students and express appreciation for them outside the classroom. Each retreatant will receive an envelope of surprise palanca. Please do not discuss this concept with students, in order to keep it a surprise.

A list of students can be found at www.up.edu/campusministry/palanca. Please submit your palanca to the campus ministry office in the Pilot House or St. Mary’s by Wednesday, September 25. Mark the envelope with “Encounter Retreat—(student’s name).” For more information contact Beth Barsotti, campus ministry, at 7463 or barsotti@up.edu.
