Homegrown Teaching Tips

September 6, 2013

1aEifler150The Teaching & Learning Collaborative (TLC) is working to make http://wordpress.up.edu/tl/, its new website, a great first stop for teaching tips and resources, according to Karen Eifler, Garaventa Center. University of Portland professors from every discipline will bring their tried and true strategies to life in short, two- to 10-minute videos. Like what you see? Follow up with a conversation with your colleagues in the Commons or Holy Cross Dining Room, a benefit of using local talent to shed light on teaching dilemmas faced by all faculty. The TL website also features a Technology Teaching Tip of the Week, links to other instructional resources on campus, and downloads of portable ideas such as peer review protocols, writing prompts, and discussion starters for those days when just one new  idea is all it takes to ignite your own teaching imagination. If you have suggestions for new content or ideas for TLC to pursue, please contact Eifler at 8014 or eifler@up.edu.
