The University of Portland Women’s Chorale, University Singers, and Jazz Band will perform in concert on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m., in Buckley Center Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. The Women’s Chorale and University Singers start their year with a mix of secular and sacred works, including the premier of senior music student Peter Chamberlain’s new setting of the Lord’s Prayer, and a gospel-style hymn from the film “Sister Act.” The Jazz Band will follow with their signature high-energy big band sound.
