The Moreau Center’s Border Immersion program is offering a babysitting night to raise funds for their upcoming immersion, according to Pat Ell, Moreau Center. The event will take place on Saturday, February 23, from 5 to 10 p.m., at the Vermont Hills Family Life Center UP daycare house. Children will be taken care of by professional staff and UP students. The Border Immersion is an opportunity for UP students to spend a week at the Mexico-U.S. border, learning about immigration and human rights issues. There is a suggested donation of $10 per hour and $5 per additional sibling. Contact Elizabeth Polsin at firstname.lastname@example.org or Derek Block at email@example.com to reserve a spot.
The Moreau Center for Service & Leadership is sponsoring its annual Nicaragua Immersion silent auction the week of December 3-7. This auction is ideal for those seeking gifts for the holidays and is critical to allowing selected UP students to learn, serve, and reflect on the economic and social conditions impacting the people of Nicaragua. Please stop by the auction for bidding in the Bauccio Commons between 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday December 3 through Friday December 7. For more information contact the Moreau Center at 7123 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
