October Encounter With Christ Retreat: Palanca, Please

October 13, 2016

palanca-pleaseA group of 37 students will be attending the October Encounter with Christ Retreat along with 23 student leaders from October 28-30, according to Beth Barsotti, Campus Ministry. Faculty and staff are asked to consider writing a note (palanca) to students they may know on the retreat. This is an opportunity to encourage students and express appreciation for them outside the classroom. Each retreatant will receive an envelope of surprise palanca. Please do not discuss this concept with students to keep it a surprise.

A list of those going on the retreat, along with their majors, can be found at https://www1.up.edu/campusministry/palanca/. Please submit your palanca to the Campus Ministry office in St. Mary’s. Mark your envelope with “EWC Retreat—(student’s name)” and bring it by Thursday, October 27.

Please forward any questions to Barsotti at x7463 or barsotti@up.edu.

Clark Library 2016 Satisfaction Survey Results

October 7, 2016

surveyClark Library staff would like to thank the 128 faculty and 18 staff who responded to the library’s satisfaction survey in spring 2016. The findings revealed that satisfaction with library services is high among both groups.  Staff value print books more than databases, and they use library services to find information in related fields or new areas.  Faculty value databases more than print books, and they report that library services help them to use their time efficiently. Complete results and a comparison with the 2011 survey are now available.
