A fashion show displaying the attire of cultures all around the world will be followed by a dazzling collage of dances from Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Pacific Islands. The mesmerizing MexicaTiahui Aztec Dance Group will demonstrate and teach Native American dance and drumming traditions from Mexico. 2015 Computer Lab and Classroom Builds Starting Now
It is time again for information services to begin creating computer lab and classroom builds for the 2015 spring and summer terms. Faculty are reminded that software which has been installed on computers for fall 2014 will not remain installed for spring or summer unless specifically requested. Exceptions to this include Microsoft Office, internet browsers, and anti-virus protection.
Please be aware that the build and deployment process is extremely labor intensive, and information services must have faculty members’ requests submitted no later than Wednesday, November 26. Submissions can be made at this link: http://tinyurl.com/n3as6nt. As always, IS staff look forward to working with faculty members to help them reach their technology goals.

Time To Plan For Final Exam Accommodations
The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSWD) would like to remind faculty that there is just over a week between Thanksgiving break and the start of final exam week. Due to this short window of time, the OSWD encourages faculty to request final exam proctoring needs from students before they leave for Thanksgiving break. The OSWD offers faculty the following tips to assist them in preparing for final exams:
- Make multiple announcements of the date and time of your final exam and include a request of students needing exam accommodations for the final exam to contact you directly by a specific date (i.e the Friday before Thanksgiving).
- Send individual e-mail reminders to students with exam accommodations requesting that the student contact you by a specific date to confirm the need for exam accommodations for the final exam.
- Ask the student to confirm which exam accommodations are needed for the final exam. Note: Students who utilize accommodations such as use of a scribe, use of a reader, or use of text-to-speech or speech-to-text software may be referred to the OSWD for proctoring.
- Find a location for the exam. To reserve individual exam seats in FR 123 or locate other possible exam space, faculty should contact their school or departmental administrative assistants.
For assistance with exam proctoring questions, contact Christa Hill at hillc@up.edu. For general accommodation questions, contact Melanie Gangle at gangle@up.edu. Thank you for your partnership in creating equal access for every member of our community.

Hallelujah Chorus, Anyone?
All musically minded and inspired UP faculty, staff, alumni, and friends are invited to lend their voices to the UP Chapel Choir’s annual Christmas concert, the “Bells in the Ballroom,” on Friday, December 5, at 7 p.m., in the Mehling Ballroom lounge, according to Maureen Briare, campus ministry. The choir will be singing the “Hallelujah Chorus” as the finale, and all who have sung it before are invited to join in the choir. Members of the University Orchestra will be accompanying several of the selections.
The concert is a fun time for UP families to enjoy Christmas cookies, hot cocoa, and the musical joy of the season, including the all-male UP accapella sensation, “Call Our Bluff.” Please contact Briare at 7335 or briare@up.edu if you would like to be a part of this chorus. All members will receive the musical score, and a web link to re-learn their parts.
