Over the summer of 2021, VoiceThread will welcome a new user experience which will revise old assignment styles and add new ones. This new experience is now available for early adoption by interested users.
If you are interested in checking out the new features ahead of time on some or all of your course pages, instructions for how to enable and use the features (as well as information which you can provide to students on how to navigate the changes on their end) can be found in VoiceThread’s recent announcement. Your old assignments will continue to work using the previous format- changes will only be in effect on new assignments (note: after activating the new version, in the event that you choose to go back to the old experience, assignments created using the new features may not be backward compatible).
If you wish to continue using the VoiceThread assignment versions you are familiar with for the 20-21 school year, no action needs to be taken. You will continue to be able to access that version until June 30th, 2021.
Users who have not already opted into the new version will automatically be switched the next time they log in starting July 1st, 2021.
